Opening and first flights

Phase 1 of the airport was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 28 March 2026. Commercial operations began on 15 June 2026, with an IndiGo flight from Lucknow as the first arrival.

The airport started with a handful of daily domestic flights, and more routes and airlines were added from July 2026.

International flights

International flights are expected to follow the domestic start. Reports have pointed to late 2026, but no fixed date has been confirmed, so check with the airlines for the latest schedule.

Getting there from Global Business City

The airport is about 40 km from the project by road. The usual route is via Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway, which runs past the airport site.

Why it matters for the area

A second airport for the NCR brings flights within reach of Greater Noida without crossing Delhi, and is expected to draw logistics, hotels and offices to the region. Together with the DMIC township and the planned Boraki hub, it is one of the reasons the area is drawing investment.
